Travel & Local Attractions

WPA 2009 will take place adjacent to the University of Minnesota's Minneapolis campus at the Radisson University Hotel.
One of the best aspects of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is the metropolitan area surrounding it, home to more than two million people. The University is convenient to a wealth of urban recreational and cultural activities, including two major symphony orchestras, renowned art museums, rock and jazz clubs, and great restaurants. Performance art is everywhere, from Broadway road shows at the Orpheum Theater to locally-produced dramas at the Guthrie Theater and countless smaller stages. For active types, the Twin Cities area is full of parks, paths, trails, and lakes. See much more about things to see and do.
